The Economou Mansion stands on the seafront in the heart of Spetses, a 10-minute walk from the center. Built in 1851, the old mansion now holds elegant, ground-floor accommodations, quiet and personally run. The pension mixes 19th century furnishings and traditional décor with modern comforts: free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, air conditioning and a minibar. Traditional homemade breakfast is included in the room rate and served next to the pool. The gardens repay a wander, with their stone walls and pebbled courtyards, and the swimming pool is there for a dip. In the winter months the living room and its large fireplace take over.
