The building was the Olympic Palace Hotel before the Campana Brothers, the award-winning Brazilian designers, reworked it. Original elements were kept, among them a black marble staircase from the 1940s, and the rest is contemporary. There are 79 rooms, none of them smoking, with floor-to-ceiling windows, bamboo floors and bamboo tables. Bathrooms have solid brass washbasins and LCD TVs.
