The building was the Olympic Palace Hotel before the Campana Brothers, the award-winning Brazilian designers, reworked it. Original elements were kept, among them a black marble staircase from the 1940s, and the rest is contemporary. There are 79 rooms, none of them smoking, with floor-to-ceiling windows, bamboo floors and bamboo tables. Bathrooms have solid brass washbasins and LCD TVs. The hotel belongs to Design Hotels and runs a Mediterranean restaurant and a fitness area; Wi-Fi is free. Syntagma Square is 656 feet away, and the Roman ruins of Plaka, the Acropolis and its museum, Kolonaki with its cafes and boutique shops, and the business district can all be reached on foot from this central address. Private parking is on site for a fee. Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport is a 45-minute metro ride.
