Agii Apostoli, in Kato Daratso: quiet ground from which to work out the rest of the island. The people who run it keep to the Cretan habit of hospitality, and the studios sit 330 yards from the sandy beach, 2.5 miles west of the center of the city. The studios themselves are modern and well equipped, with a kitchenette and a large balcony with a view. Taverns, supermarkets and shops stand a short distance off. Horseback riding, tennis, water sports and a water park are all close, along with mini golf, and the clubs of the city centre keep the nightlife going.
