Ammoudara Beach runs along the sand in front of Faedra Beach, and the center of Agios Nikolaos is 1.9 mi away. Sun beds and umbrellas cost nothing, whether taken by the pool or down on the sand. Suites, apartments and studios make up the accommodation. Each has a large balcony facing the sea or the garden, modern fittings, and double glazed windows and doors. Local transport runs regularly to Agios Nikolaos center and to the other main towns of Crete, which keeps the rest of the island within reach. Staying put is also an option: the taverna on the beach cooks traditional Cretan food.
