Kifissia, north Athens, looking onto a peaceful green park: a boutique hotel designed by Karim Rashid and part of the Design Hotels collection, where design is set alongside comfort and practical function. Rashid's hand is on the guest rooms and the common areas alike. Walls, floors, furnishings and fittings carry light pinks and greens with oranges and soft yellows, which makes for an energetic setting. The owner's art collection is shown in rotating exhibitions twice a year through the public spaces, with works by Jeff Koons, Sue Webster and Tim Noble among others.
