Portaria, at 2297 feet, with Mount Pelion and Makrinitsa in view. This 4-star resort is made up of several buildings put up in the local architectural manner and set into the landscape, trees and vegetation all through the grounds, with three separate parking areas. Rooms and suites each have their own garden entrance, a mini-bar, a CD player and satellite TV. Reception, the bar, the restaurant and sitting areas with fireplaces occupy the main buildings. There is a spa with a hot tub and sauna, an outdoor swimming pool, and a children's playground within the landscaped gardens. Breakfast is a Greek buffet, served daily by the fireplace or outdoors in the garden: local yogurt, fresh fruits, fresh cheese bread and olive breads.
