Grecotel Meli Palace has its own private sandy beach and stands 1.2 mi from the village of Sissi. It works on an all-inclusive basis, with 2 restaurants, 2 tennis courts and a pool. Rooms are done in light colors and earthy tones with modern furnishings and air conditioning, each with a seating area, satellite TV, toiletries, a hairdryer and a furnished balcony facing either the Cretan Sea or the gardens. Melissa Restaurant puts out an American breakfast buffet and serves lunch and dinner, with terrace seating above the sea. Younger guests have a pool of their own, clubs for children and teens organize activities, and canoes and pedal boats are there to use. Wi-Fi is free in the lobby. The front desk is staffed around the clock by multilingual staff who can arrange a visit to the Minoan Palace of Knossos or the Palace of Malia nearby. Crete Golf Club is a 15-minute drive. Parking on the grounds is private and free.
